Advanced degree in Music – Program: Performance
In its curriculum design for the Performance major, ESMAR has put together an innovative educational plan to best train future professional performers. In this program, 24 credits will be devoted to the Principal Instrument subject area, an ambitious design that will entail individual classes, ensemble classes and intense individual study guided by our faculty. The Chamber music and Orchestral Music subjects will round out practical instrumental courses and guarantee the necessary skills in this field across the student body.
Beyond a comprehensive education centered on performance, a practical application focus on these contents is found in the Music Theory and Analysis for Performers course. This is in addition to foreign language and the mastery of music technology, both connected with the professional work of performers.
Unquestionably, this is a curricular plan that was designed and devised for the acquisition of the necessary skills required in the professional lives of modern performers.
