David Llácer began his musical studies with J. Polache and H. Amorós at S.U.M. de Simat de la Valldigna (Valencia) in 1981. He continued on in Madrid with M. Navarro, soloist for the Orquesta Nacional de España.

He has completed courses with H. Philips and W. Hilgers.

1986 to 1987- Tuba soloist for Banda Municipal de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (Canary Islands).
1987 to 2002- Tuba soloist for Orquesta Sinfónica de Tenerife (Canary Islands).
1989 to 2002- Professor at the Conservatorio Superior de Tenerife (Canary Islands).
2003 to 2011- Professor at the Conservatorio Superior de Palma de Mallorca (Balearic Islands).

He has worked together with the Orquesta Ciudad de Valladolid, Orquesta Filarmónica de Gran Canaria, Orquesta Sinfónica de Galicia, Orquesta Sinfónica Radio Televisión Española (RTVE), Orquesta Ciudad de Granada, Orquesta Nacional de España and Barcelona Symphony Orchestra (OBC).

He has given courses and conferences at the Higher School of Music of the Basque Country, Musikene; Conservatorio A. Casella (L’Aquila, Italy); and in Sevilla (City Hall of Guillena, Spain), Valencia (Academia Alto Rendimiento Ad Libitum), Málaga, (Conserv. Superior) Villareal, Vigo (Conserv. Profesional), El Ferrol, Bilbao (Conserv. Juan Crisóstomo de Arriaga), Córdoba (Conserv. Profesional), Madrid, Punta Umbría (University of Huelva), Gran Canaria (Conserv. Profesional de Música), Jaén (Universidad Internacional de Andalucía, Baeza), Granada (Conservatorio Superior and Conservatorio Angel Barrios), Albacete (Conserv. Tomás de Torrejón y Velasco), Valladolid (Conserv. Profesional), Conserv. Superior de Badajoz, Vitoria (Conserv. Jesús Guridi), Conserv. Profesional de Sevilla, La Palma, Tenerife (Conserv. Superior de Canarias) and El Hierro (Spain).

From 1990 through 2002, he directed Banda de Tubas de Tenerife and in 2003 founded the Banda de Tubas de Valencia.

He has taught chamber music courses for brass at the Sinfónica Nacional Juvenil de Uruguay, Conservatorio Profesional de Valladolid, Conservatorio Profesional Angel Barrios and Conservatorio Superior de Granada, as well as the Real Conservatorio de Almería, for the brass section of the Banda de la Federación Tinerfeña de Bandas de Música, and at Conserv. Profesional de Ubeda.

He has participated as a professor with the Joven Orquesta Nacional de España, Orquesta Joven de Andalucía, Jove Orquestra de la Generalitat Valenciana, Jove Orquestra Nacional de Catalunya, and Sinfónica Nacional Juvenil de Uruguay.
He has led the bass section of the Banda Municipal de Bilbao, Joven Orquesta Nacional de España, Orquesta de Valencia, and the Orquesta Joven de Andalucía, with whom he inaugurated the XV Festival de Música Española de Cádiz.

In 1992, he performed R.V. Williams’ Tuba Concerto with the Orquesta Sinfónica de Tenerife under the direction of G. Varga, and again in 2013 with the Orquesta de Valencia, led by Carlos Miguel Prieto.
In December 2004, he debuted Concierto para Tuba y Orquesta by R. Talens with the Orquesta de Valencia under the direction of Gómez Martínez.
In April 2016, he performed Martin Ellerby’s Tuba Concerto with the Banda Municipal de Barcelona, conducted by maestro Sanz Espert at the Auditori de Barcelona.

He has been tuba soloist for the Orquestra de la Comunidad Valenciana at Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía since 2002.
