Enrique Abargues Morán studied at Conservatorio Superior de Música Valencia with José Enguídanos and at Akademie Johann Sebastian Bach in Stuttgart (Germany) with Klaus Thunemann.
At 18, he became a member of the Orquesta Nacional de España, for whom he has been bassoon soloist since 1984.
He has given concerts as a soloist with the Orquesta Nacional de España, Bilbao Orkestra Sinfonikoa, Cámara Española, Orquesta de la Comunidad Valenciana at the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía, and Villa de Madrid with maestros David Afkham, Walter Weller, Rafael Frühbeck de Burgos, Josep Pons, Kazushi Ono, Martin Turnovský and Luca Pfaff, among others.
He gave the premiere of bassoon concerto Notas para la paz (dedicated to him) by Marisa Manchado with the Orquesta Nacional de España.
He has been a professor at Conservatorio Adolfo Salazar and Centro de Estudios Neomúsica. He has given numerous advanced classes and regularly participates in young orchestra events.
