Born in Girona, Spain, Enrique Llorens Vallés began studying violin with his grandfather, continuing his studies at the conservatories of Valencia and Murcia, where he earned his advanced degree with head professor Joaquín Palomares.

He has taken specialist violin classes with Agustín León Ara, Mark Lubotsky, and Christophe Guiot, among others. In 1998, he received a grant to attend the Cuarteto de Cuerda course given by Piero Farulli (Quartetto Italiano) at Accademia Musicale Chigiana in Siena (Italy). He has played as a soloist with the Orquesta de Cámara de la Universidad de Valencia, as well as with the Baroque orchestra La Dispersione. He has collaborated with ensembles such as Orquesta de Valencia, Grup Instrumental de València, Turiae Camerata, Orquesta de la Comunidad Valenciana, Orquesta Sinfónica del Mediterráneo, Orquestra Ciutat de Torrent, San Luis Obispo Symphony Orchestra (USA), and others.

After his violin studies, he studied Musicology at the Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona, where he earned the Outstanding Bachelor’s Degree Prize. He has a scholarship to continue his research on 17th-century polychoral music at California Polytechnic State University under the direction of Dr. Craig H. Russell.

He has taken classes with Catherine Girard (La Petite Bande) and Olivia Centurioni (Ensemble 415), as well as with Isabel Serrano on the field of historical interpretation. He regularly collaborates with groups devoted to historical music performance such as Capella de Ministrers, Estil Concertant, Los Músicos de su Alteza, Orquestra Barroca Catalana, and La Dispersione.

As an educator, he has worked together with the teaching staff of the Philharmonic Orchestra of the University of Valencia and has given classes on music technology to faculty in CEFIRE teacher training centers in Valencia and Castellón, as well as at Conservatorio de Torrent. He holds the title of full professor at the Conservatorio Profesional de Música de Torrent in violin and chamber music, in addition to being the institution’s vice-director.
