Juan Pablo Valero García holds an advanced degree in music with an emphasis in piano granted by the Conservatorio Superior Joaquín Rodrigo de Valencia; a master’s degree in Ancient Music from the Universitat Politècnica de València; and has developed a doctoral theses on the development of assessment methods in arts education in the Mètodes d’Investigació i Diagnòstic en Educació department at Universitat de València.

He has facilitated diverse training days and presentations on new methodologies in music education, inclusive education and multi-culturalism, in addition to Medieval musicology and its relationship with literature, and traditional music and its incorporation in the educational system.

He has authored several publications on feminist musicology, ancient music, traditional music and the development of assessment systems specifically for professional music conservatories.

He joined the Cuerpo de Profesores de Música y Artes Escénicas de la Generalitat Valenciana through public competition in 2008 and, since then, has taught at the Conservatorio Profesional de Música de Torrent, Conservatorio Guitarrista José Tomás de Alicante and Conservatorio Profesional de Catarroja, where he is currently a professor.

He is a member of the teaching staff at Instituto Gabou, when he trains and helps students to prepare for official examinations for the Cuerpo de Profesores de Música y Artes Escénicas.

He has additionally held varied management positions at the Conselleria de Educación, Cultura y Deporte of the Generalitat Valenciana.

All the while, he has continued to work professionally in the arts as a pianist and singer in diverse groups, in addition to as a soloist.
