ESMAR allocates more than €100.000 in scholarships to young musicians pursuing higher education.

The eHigher School of High Performance Music (ESMAR) allocates more than 100.000 euros to a scholarship program Students pursuing higher education can apply for this program after completing pre-registration, open until March 31. The grants will subsidize part of the tuition fee for any of the degree's specialties. With this initiative, which will consider family income levels and other criteria such as academic and artistic performance, the school provides grants for access to the music education it offers.

Esmar Scholarships

The selection process for scholarship recipients will be carried out in two phases:

  • Preliminary phase: the performance of a recorded work lasting approximately ten minutes will be evaluated.
  • Final phase: A public, in-person audition will be held in which the selected musicians will perform three works of different styles for twenty minutes.

The jury's selection criteria will take into account the difficulty and interest of the repertoire, as well as the artistic, technical, and interpretive quality of the candidates.

The scholarships will be distributed as follows: €90.000 for students majoring in Acting and Pedagogy (across all tracks); €6.000 for Directing; and €4.000 for Production and Management students. The final round of scholarship and grant applications will be held in April, and the decision will be announced in May.

In addition, ESMAR has a financing program So that students can access these courses, registration for the entrance exams for all specialties is now open. The exams will be held from June 16 to July 18, 2025, inclusive, for the June and July sessions; and from September 1 to 5 for the September session.

Our website provides all the information and documentation for students who, starting this year, can participate in an individual simulation, either in person or via videoconference. This way, teachers can guide applicants on the suitability of the chosen repertoire, the quality of the performances, evaluation criteria, and more. Once the application is received, the center will contact the applicants to determine the date and time.

The school offers courses through an innovative music education model based on a curriculum that prioritizes practical over theoretical courses, providing experience in real-life professional settings, and providing a strong connection to the industry's labor market. It offers comprehensive training for today's musical profession in its various specialties: Performance (Piano, Symphonic Instruments, Early Music, Voice, Modern Music, and Jazz), Pedagogy (all instrumental tracks), Composition, Production, and Management and Conducting.

The project, which has more than 250 students studying a wide range of advanced degrees, master's degrees, and advanced music training courses, has established itself as a highly attractive alternative for specialized, high-performance music education.

Other scholarships

ESMAR also provides other grants, such as the Manuela Solís scholarships to enable students to access and remain in higher arts education centers that are part of the Higher Institute of Artistic Education of the Valencian Community (ISEACV); the Ministry of Education, Vocational Training, and Sports grants, for students' post-compulsory studies; and the Society of Performing Artists of Spain (AIE), which awards a €5.000 scholarship to one ESMAR student.

ESMAR also signed a collaboration agreement with the company Luthiers Clar, which will provide a financial contribution of €2.000 for the 2024-25 academic year. The amount will be used to award two €1.000 scholarships for cello and violin students at the school.
