ESMAR International Oboe Seminar 2026-2027
Specialized training to perfect your technique, expand your repertoire and develop your skills as an oboist alongside two leading teachers: Daniel Fuster and Jesús Fuster.
ESMAR presents a new edition of the International Oboe Seminar, aimed at students and professionals who wish to deepen their knowledge of performance, rehearsal preparation, and reed making. The course will run from October 2026 to May 2027, with intensive in-person workshops.

Both teachers will accompany the students throughout the training process, combining individual work, collective practice and the exchange of experiences.
Objectives and organization of the seminar:
- Perfect your technique and interpretation through one-hour individual lessons.
- Work on oboe repertoire from all periods and styles.
- Prepare for entrance exams, selection procedures and competitive examinations.
- To delve deeper into the manufacture of reeds, from tying and scraping to the selection of materials and the study of different techniques.
- Develop your own criteria for the selection and adjustment of blades, reeds, measurements and scrapings.
Participatory methodology:
The seminar offers a collective and participatory learning experience. Each student will receive an individual one-hour class and, as far as possible, will remain throughout the day to listen to and learn from the work of the other participants.
This approach broadens musical perspectives, introduces diverse repertoires, and allows for the benefit of everyone's contributions. The pieces each student works on thus become an opportunity for shared learning.
Reed making will also be a key part of the course. Throughout each session, students will be able to practice and compare procedures, observe different working methods, and share knowledge about scraping, measuring, tying, and material selection criteria.

Meeting times: Friday, from 10:00 a.m. to 17:00 p.m.
There will be a lunch break from 14:00 PM to 15:00 PM. Each student will choose a time to have their individual class within this time frame.
Price:
Total price: 1.750 € for the full eight-month course and sixteen meetings.
To formalize enrollment, a €50 deposit is required to reserve your place. The remaining amount will be distributed in monthly installments from October 2026 to May 2027.
