Aimed at students between 14 and 18 years old

Our music students face a great difficulty at this age: combining professional music education and general education (ESO and Bachillerato). For this reason, they endure endless work weeks and have little time to study the instrument, complete the rest of their studies and enjoy free time.

Furthermore, music lessons at this stage are often not very demanding, precisely because teachers are afraid of demanding too much from students who are already overburdened.

In the end, a lot of effort has been made that is not reflected in the achievement of an optimal interpretive level.. For all these reasons, valuable time is lost that could be used to improve musical quality.

This program overcomes these difficulties and substantially improves the life and musical and instrumental training of students.

The program will have the following characteristics:

• Educational program aimed, in general terms, at students between the ages of 14 and 18 years.
• This advanced program is intended for students with high capacities who wish to acquire advanced musical training and access and study higher music education with complete security and guarantee later on.
• Assumes an alternative to formal studies which are taught at music conservatories but without excessive teaching loads and with plenty of time available for independent individual study.
• To access this program, a positive evaluation by the Instrument/Singing teachers will be required, in which the students demonstrate the appropriate skills and knowledge.
• The program may be individualized to the needs of each student and will include, in all cases, the subjects of Instrument, Chamber Music, Orchestra/Ensemble and, where appropriate, Additional Musical Training.
• The teaching staff will be the same as those that teach students in higher music education, which has the advantage of advancing instrumental training with high-quality teachers and high standards.
• During the program, students with high knowledge and skills can be advised. early start higher music education at ESMAR before the age of 18.
• The program will involve a maximum teaching load of 4 hours of weekly dedication and the timetables of the subjects and their organisation will be adapted to the needs of the students and their families and will guarantee their comfort. Weekend shifts will be organised if necessary.
• Students can obtain the Professional Music Degree at the same time as taking this programme, if they access and study higher education at ESMAR.
