Join ESMAR as an associate professor

The Higher School of High Performance Music (ESMAR) teaches Higher Music Education officially. Our goal is to stimulate and promote innovation in all areas of music education. And to do so we advocate a new organizational approach that goes beyond the traditional view of music education centers. We are building a higher education center dynamic, open and integrative character, which is capable of including the maximum number of people interested in participating in our educational project, whether students or teachers.

And not only that, we want attract top musical talent to our professional team. We are aware of the great quality of our country's musicians. Many of them carry out important work in music schools and conservatories, others work in orchestras and professional musical groups throughout Spain and have students willing to follow their teachings and take advantage of their excellence.

For all these reasons, ESMAR offers all these professionals the possibility of joining our project and teaching at our Higher School. And they can do so even if their place of residence or work is not in the area of ​​influence of ESMAR (the Valencian Community), thanks to the intensive modality that we have developed and that complements this initiative. In this way there is no need to borders or limitations At ESMAR, any student residing in our country and any teacher, wherever they live, can be part of our educational community.

If you are interested in joining our faculty, these are the requirements:

  1. Have a Higher Degree in Music or a degree approved for this if you obtained your degree abroad.
  2. Submit your professional CV and have it positively evaluated by the ESMAR Board of Directors.

You will be able to develop your teaching activity in a flexible manner, taking into account your wishes and particularities. Our intensive modality will allow you to combine your work and regular residence with the teaching of the hours established in the Teaching Guides with a more spaced-out regime. In this way, students interested in continuing their higher education studies with you will be able to do so, if you join ESMAR, without needing to change their teacher when entering higher music education.

If you wish to be an associate professor for the 2020/21 academic year of the Higher Music Education Degree and Artistic Master's Degree, you must do the following:

  1. Send an email to the address [email protected] attaching your CV and requesting to join the ESMAR faculty as an associate professor.
  2. Once your application has been accepted, you must provide a certified copy of your Higher Degree, or proof of its homologation by the Spanish Ministry of Education if you provide a foreign degree.
  3. If you need more information about this process or about the intensive modality, if you want to ask us questions or make suggestions, you can write to the same email.
